Hello, I am Shilpa Deshpande, I work as Research Data Scientist in Washington DC metro area. I have worked a long time as an engineer, tech lead, engineering manager. I have enjoyed all of those roles. Now I am trying to spread my legs in a different direction which hopefully takes me back to solving difficult problems with the help of data.
I am Java Developer in New York, NY. I completed MS in Computer Science from UNL in May 2007 and have been working as an application developer. In my day to day job, I get to learn a lot of stuff and get the freedom to discuss with brilliant colleagues and develop based on newest technologies. I have been working primarily on Java and its ecosystem but over the time have had many chances to hone my skills at the back end side so all in all have worked from css to databases and everywhere in between. My tools of trade are Java, J2EE, Sybase, Perl, Python, ant, eclipse, shell etc.
